Children’s ICT Programme
 


Programme

The Regent Learning ICT Programme is a
comprehensive group of courses in
Information, Communication and Technology
(ICT) for school students. The programme
enables students to systematically develop
ICT skills to enable them to confidently use
the latest hardware and software. The
programme enables Teachers to integrate ICT
in to all subjects to enhance the learning of
the students throughout their education.
The programme is based on the standards of
the English National Curriculum and enables
students to progress through the National
Curriculum attainment levels and on to the
General Certificate of Secondary Education
(GCSE).
The flexibility of the programme enables
students to enter at any level suitable to their
age and experience and can be taught as an
after school programme or educational
holiday programme
.


Aims


• Develop ICT capabilities systematically in children starting from an early age.
• Provide an ICT education for tomorrow – using the latest technology.
• Integrate ICT into all subjects and enhance learning in every subject.

Structure

Students can enter the programme at any Stage according to their ability level and not age. The objective of the programme is to enable students to achieve GCSE in ICT at the
end of completion of Flyers stage.
The Programme is divided into the following
Stages:
• Walkers
• Runners
• Flyers


Delivery

The courses are a combination of different
methods of learning to ensure that each
student reaches their potential.

• Work book based learning
• ICT activities, tasks and projects
• Plenary review sessions
• Continuous assessment
• Examinations
