What is Common Entrance?
Common Entrance is the examination in a range of subjects
which pupils take, usually at the age of thirteen, for entry
into independent secondary schools. The schools decide the
marks required for entry and these can vary considerably.
Some schools also set their own scholarship papers, in which
the standard is higher.
